I have seen a vast number of TV and web series but the one that has always made my day is F.R.I.E.N.D.S. one of the best series ever!!

I used to watch 6 to 7 episodes every day and I loved every episode of this 90’s American Sitcom. It was my stress buster after the worst day, a satisfying break from the painstaking study routine, and the celebration for an achievement.
It can make you laugh out loud if you have already seen the episode a hundred times. There is something about it that makes it worth watching repeatedly. This series actually teaches us not to be too serious in life, be cool, simple, and trust in yourself.
So the story revolves around these six best friends ‘Ross‘, ‘Rachel‘, ‘Pheobe‘, ‘Joey‘, ‘Monica‘, ‘Chandler‘, and how they share an unbreakable bond with each other. It tells a familiar story, from one of working hard and attempting success to eat dinner with people we like.
Friends cast did their work very well. Each character has a unique personality that you can fall in love with. There is no character in the show that can’t make you laugh.
Let’s start with Ross, my favorite character among them all (Actually I love all of them😍)

David Schwimmer as ROSS

I just love how he used great facial expressions while playing Ross. Ross is a paleontologist by profession and caring, kind, nerdy in nature. He cares deeply about his friends.
Ross gets divorced in the first episode because his wife, Carol realized that she’s lesbian. Ross had a crush on Rachel since his teenage, who is her younger sister Monica’s friend. Later in the series, they became good friends and Rachel also falls for him. They have an on-off relationship throughout the show.
He always makes decisions with the heart which leads to emotional pain most of the time (just review his three failed marriages and rollercoaster relationship with Rachel). He dropped off a few essential tips on parenting and marriage.😄
Stories from Ross and Monica’s childhood are really good. Oh and their famous ‘Routine’ dance.😆
And the one when Ross finds about Monica and his best friends Chandler’s relationship.

Jennifer Aniston as Rachel

Rachel the perfect “Daddy’s little princess”. Her life revolved around shopping, parties, credit cards, and hanging out with high society girls. And then her journey from a spoilt self-centered girl to a motivated, confident, successful professional in the fashion industry.
Her cooking skills are relatable when she makes English trifle for thanksgiving. “She started with ladyfingers, after that a layer of fruit jam, then fruit custard, which she made up of the beginning, then some raspberries, again ladyfingers, after that beef sautéed with onions and peas, again custard, then bananas, and then she just put some whipped cream on top,”😂

Rachel and Ross’s dating relationship doesn’t last long but their love story lasts the entire series — when Rachel gets off the plane — their love story is honest and relatable. Honestly, their love story is hard to beat.

Rachel taught us that even if you are rotten and spoilt, you still have hope. And her bonding with Monica and Pheobe gives us friendship goals.

Courteney Cox as Monica

Monica a sensible girl who tries so hard to make her and everyone’s life perfect around her. I can almost hear her shout “I know”. She was the coolest sister hands down, always supported Ross in his decisions. And made him the best sandwiches in the world with the moist maker.
She is notoriously bossy and highly competitive. When Ross and Joey were casually tossing a ball back and forth, Monica joined at threw the ball too hard at Ross to which he exclaimed, “Monica, stop throwing the ball so hard! we’re on the same team.”
She is a really great friend. She was the guiding light in Rachel’s life from her career to relationships, she was an honest friend whenever she needed to be, and above all, she was a giving and generous roommate that she gave away her daughter’s name ‘Emma’ to Rachel.
Chandler and Monica, two best friends fall in love. Someone you have only seen as a friend could turn out to be the one for you. They knew everything about one another, flaws and everything, and still loved each other. They are my favorite Friends couple.

Matthew Perry as Chandler

Chandler Bing a responsible and caring man hidden under all those sarcastic one-liners and jokes. One of the most hilarious characters on Friends. His sense of humor is unmatched and that is what brings him closer to his friends. And his oneliners “I am not good with advice, can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?”
He is Joey’s bank account when he struggles financially, Chandler doesn’t hesitate to support him. He is afraid of commitments and always feels love is a big deal for him to be in. But as the story progresses, he changes his outlook and became the man who is every girl’s perfect dream guy.
Chandler and Monica were best friends before hooking up in London. There were a lot of laughs when they tried to keep their relationship secret from Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, and Joey.
A loyal, loving, and supportive husband. His love for Monica was so true, they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. From the way, he looks at her to the unique bond they share together, make them the best Friends couple.

Matthew LeBlanc as Joey

Joey Tribbiani a foodie actor with a knack for picking up ladies. He is sweet, caring, and loves his friends as they are his own family. He is possessive towards his food- “Joey loves pizza”, “Joey doesn’t share food”. He is a guy who would eat everything in the fridge because it’s broken!!.
He would do anything for his friends. He might seem like he doesn’t care but he is a sentimental and emotional person when it comes to his friends. His this side is shown when he purchased a golden friendship bracelet(oh yes that was a female repellent 😂 but still) and gifted to Chandler as a thankyou for his support.
His pickup line (“How you doin’😙😙”) was an essential part of the character. Some of his funny moments when he wore every piece of Chandler’s clothes because he hides his clothes. When he found his hand twin. We all have a friend like Joey who takes 10 more seconds to understands the joke and we all laugh because of him.
And how can I forget his notable performances:
  • Dr, Drake Ramoray in Day Of Our Lives
  • acted as a woman trapped inside a men’s body
  • that ad, where he can’t open a milk packet

Joey taught us that you never have to grow up and don’t ever give up on your dreams.

Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe

Undoubtedly Lisa Kudrow played both Pheobe and Ursula so well. Ursula was the twin sister of Pheobe who carried a completely different personality compared to her. Despite her awfulness, Pheobe tries to be a good sister and keep her in the loop. Pheobe Buffey had always been an eccentric, hippie, and the offbeat girl who sings about a Smelly Cat in the coffeehouse.
She is amazing and confident. And best known for her guitar playing in the central perk, She was the most intelligent among them all, she made the geeky Ross doubt something he was most confident about (The theory of evaluation). And the most important that I like about her she never afraid of being herself.
Pheobe had gone through a lot in her childhood but she was the most positive character among them all throughout the show. She doesn’t care about money, doesn’t care about expressing herself in the weirdest ways possible. One of the most relatable things about Pheobe is her passion for animals.
When phoebe learned you could change your legal name to anything, she changed her name to Princess Consuela Banana Hammock. She always takes advantage of good opportunities. She just lives each day like her last and that is what I like about it.
Pheobe may have a rough start to life, but by the end of the series, she married the love of her life, Mike. her happy ending shows that no matter what obstacle you face in life If you keep a positive attitude someday you will find your Happy Ending!!

So there it is my take on my favorite series. We all can relate to the incidents on screen and the characters as well, we all have some like Ross, Monica, Chandler, Pheobe, Joey, and Rachel in our friend circle.
Watch it because no matter how bad you are feeling at any point in your life, no matter anyone is there for you or not, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. will always “be there for you”.
What is your favorite part from this series, write down in the comment box 🙂

  1. Perfection. An incredibly well crafted show, everything from writing, acting, set, it is all unbelievable. A must watch but I warn u, u will become obsessed with the show.

  2. There's just no other show that can even hold a candle to what Friends was and is for so many people, I watched the finale episode live and it felt surreal that I would never laugh, cry or yearn for these six characters ever again.

  3. Personally I get rid of all my tension, stress when i watch the show. There isn't a single episode i doesn't like.

All the 10 seasons are great. It gives our life back.It shows us that there's lot in this world for living. A must watch. While watching the show i always feel like i wish i have those friends.

I like Chandler very much, especially his "hi5".Joey's "How u doing?",Phoebe's "Smelly Cat".Monica's food,Ross's paleontology classes and Rachel…….I miss all of it and I miss this show a lot.And also the comedy in this goes great season to season. It'll be good if they make a film on it.And that's why its the greatest show ever!!!

Friends'is simply the best series ever aired. The acting is amazing; after watching a few episodes you stop referring to the actors by their real names altogether, even if they appear in another movie. The characters are addictive, none are completely positive or negative. It would be quite easy to get along with or to be very annoyed by any of them in real life. Yet, all of them together (or even divided in groups) create this amazing chemistry that most people desire and few lucky ones have. The humor is wonderful, no matter what type of humor you like, you will get to a point where you will find at least something absolutely hilarious. There is slapstick, some light humor, some dark humor, some raunchiness, some cheesiness – a little bit of everything. The story is captivating; viewers keep coming back to see what situation fate (being the writers) puts the characters in today. It is truly a television masterpiece.

  4. Usually I never comment on blogs but your article is so convincing that I never stop myself to say something about it. You’re doing a great job Man,Keep it up.

  5. Bestest tv show of all time… I watched it i dont know how many times.. and still put up randomly any episode and laugh like watching it first time…i love it.
